Chairman's Award Established

The AIM Board has established an annual Chairman's Award to recognise outstanding academic achievement within the AIM Graduate School.

The Chairman's Award seeks to recognise the most outstanding academic results attained by a graduating student in either the Graduate Certificate Professional Management or the Graduate Diploma Management Innovation.

AIM General Manager Executive Performance Anne Gately FAIM said that the Award was inspired by the aptitude and commitment of high-achieving graduates.

"The Academic Committee of the AIM Graduate School noticed a small number of students achieving and maintaining Distinction-level results throughout their studies, and graduating with GPA levels of over 6," she said.

"Results of this calibre are highly commendable, particularly when considering that students are practising managers in full-time employment. They need to meet the academic standards of research, reflection and writing required to achieve a GPA at this level while balancing their personal lives as well as other managerial demands and responsibilities.

"The AIM Graduate School is proud to emulate sectoral protocols and introduce an award that acknowledges the hard work and effort of brilliant scholars, and that also might inspire current students to pursue academic excellence," Ms Gately said.

The Chairman's Award will be presented at the AIM Graduate School graduation ceremony held in September each year. Recipients will be presented with a medallion and a gift from the AIM Graduate School recognising their outstanding academic performance.
