AIM Supports International Project Management Conference
AIM recently sponsored the 25th International Project Management Association's World Congress in Brisbane. The conference theme, 'Delivering the Promise', struck at the fundamental purpose of project management.
The IPMA World Congress attracted more than 1000 people from across the world for its comprehensive technical, practical and social program, which included study tours for delegates of major projects around Brisbane. Its technical component consisted of sessions across a range of streams, from Practices and Methods to The Australian Experience, Social and Corporate Responsibility and The Future.
AIM supported the event through sponsorship; presenting two stands in the bustling exhibitor hall. The Management Books stand presented relevant project management books to delegates, including an author book signing of the newly released Leading Complex Projects. The AIM stand showcased the institute as a leading provider of project management courses and qualifications as well as complementary management skills training.
"It was important for us to inform project managers of the courses we deliver in critical 'soft skills' which are so critical to many jobs," said Scott Martin AFAIM, AIM's General Manager, Sales and Marketing.
"This was a great opportunity for AIM to display its range and expertise in the discipline of project management," Mr Martin said.
