Course Preview: Brain Science for Managers

AIM is delighted to offer a brand new course 'Brain Science for Managers - Discover How People Tick', in partnership with the internationally acclaimed NeuroLeadership Group.

This one day course is ideal for managers and leaders interested in finding new ways of collaborating, influencing, approaching organisational change and reducing conflict. It provides insights into the deeply social nature of the brain that underpins working with others, as well as the effective functioning of individuals and organisations.

AIM has partnered with the NeuroLeadership Group to present this course. The NeuroLeadership Group developed the materials based on the work of Dr David Rock and the latest developments in the field of neuroscience that have vast implications for managers and leaders charged with improving the way people work together in environments of increasing interconnectedness and change.

Since the late nineties, researchers have been exploring the deeper biology behind organisational change management, leadership and performance coaching. This research has provided big surprises about the brain that run counter to intuitive thinking and challenge some traditional practices.

In a convenient one day format, lead trainer Judy Williams will assist participants to explore:

  • How the brain works in an organisational setting
  • Neuroscience principles that engage and motivate others
  • Skills in providing feedback in a way that minimises the fear of threat
  • The application of neuroscience principles to change workplace behaviour
  • Strategies to organise time and space to maximise the use of resources.

The course will be run on Friday 17 February, Monday 23 April, Tuesday 12 June, Monday 10 September and Thursday 1 November 2012 at a rate of $473.00 for AIM Members and $553.00 for non-members. For more information call 1300 882 895 or visit www.aimcourses.com.au to book.
