Management Excellence Awards sweep the state
WHEN it comes to management excellence, no other Member-based organisation comes to close to the Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT.
Just ask the winners announced at Management Excellent Awards (MEA) which have been held across Queensland in recent weeks.
AIM has already hosted more than 500 finalists and guests at the MEA finals in Cairns, the Sunshine Coast, Mackay, Gladstone and Brisbane.
National Management Excellence Awards Manager Katrina Arch AIMM said the events had proven to be a great success.
"The quality of our candidates is of an exceptionally high standard with Queensland's top business executives being recognised across all categories," Mrs Arch said.
"To me that says best-practice management is of huge importance to business leaders across the state and the Northern Territory.
"This year's Management Excellent Awards Gala Final promises to be one of the very best ever and a real highlight on the business calendar."
Attention now turns to the remaining Regional Finals in Toowoomba on Thursday 11 October, the Northern Territory on Saturday 27 October and the Queensland State Final and Gala Dinner on Friday 2 November.
The 2012 winners will join an exclusive honour roll of Queensland and Northern Territory business identies that includes Australia Zoo's Terri Irwin, Domino's Pizza boss Don Meij and NT St John Ambulance Chief Executive Officer Ross Coburn.
AIM Chief Executive Officer Vivienne Anthon FAIM said the quality of candidates and finalists in 2012 were of an exceptionally high standard.
"There is so much sophistication and diversity across the regions and the level of professionalism witnessed in the applicants was unquestionably high," Ms Anthon said.
