The cream of Northern Territory business enterprise rose to the top on Saturday 27 October when the 2012 Management Excellence Award winners were announced at a gala function at Darwin Convention Centre.
Hosted by the Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT, the prestigious annual MEAs acknowledge exceptional managers at all stages of their careers across a broad spectrum of industry.
AIM received more than 120 nominations across four categories which included Professional Manager of the Year (private and public), Owner Manager of the Year, Young Manager of the Year and Not for Profit Manager of the Year.
That list was whittled down to 21 finalists through a stringent judging process with the five winners announced at last night's black-tie event.
The big winners were former Commonwealth Bank Area Manager Mark Moller who was named Professional Manager of the Year in the Private Sector and Department of Housing Local Government and Regional Services Executive Manager Noelene Swanson who was named Professional Manager of the Year in the Public Sector.
GTNT Manager Amelia Moloney showed she was a woman to watch when she was named Young Manager of The Year and Territory Medical Group Managing Director Amalie Andropov was named Owner Manager of the Year.
The esteemed Not For Profit award was given to YMCA Top End Chief Executive Officer Alexia Hohipa.
