AIM30: 30 Under 30 Making a Mark

They are all under 30 years of age, leaders in their chosen careers and they’ve all made it onto the hottest professional list of 2013. Meet the 2013 Australian Institute of Management – Qld & NT AIM30: 30 Under 30 Making a Mark list, the inaugural list of young management talent across Queensland and Northern Territory.

An initiative of AIM’s Young Manager Advisory Board (YMAB), the AIM30 is a list of individuals who have excelled in their chosen careers and professions.

YMAB Chair Craig Somerville AIMM oversaw the selection process and said the finalists were worthy inclusions in elite company.

“This is a list of young managers who have achieved extraordinary things,” he said. “They have utilised their management skills to improve their organisations and the people within them.”

One of the star acts on the list is Brisbane property identity Adam Di Marco who, at 27, is responsible for nearly $400 million worth of residential and commercial development in his role as development manager for Leighton Properties.

Darwin entrepreneur Kamal Ali adds another dimension to the list through his rich background that includes selling Porsches at a Darwin dealership, community involvement and his 50 per cent stake in one of the Top End’s most profitable commercial cleaning businesses, Sterling Property Services.

The finalists are spread far and wide and Cairns features prominently through the inclusion of Andrea Ambrosio, the women known as the grant expert.

In her role as business development manager for Cairns-based management consultancy firm, Outsource Management Pty Ltd, Andrea Ambrosio has been responsible for attaining more than $40 million in State and Federal Government grants and tender contracts on behalf of an extensive portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients.
